Give new grooming clients a clear way to request an appointment
Let prospective clients ask for an appointment while keeping independent online booking limited to existing clients.
A new client finds your salon and is ready to book. But you may want to meet them first, or keep appointment booking open only to people already in your client list. You can keep that boundary and still give new clients a clear next step: an appointment request for your review.
A request, not an automatic booking
When a new-client request is available, a prospective client can choose a service and branch, verify their phone and send a request without choosing a date or worker. You decide what happens next.
- Schedule an appointment: add the appointment to your calendar and choose a worker.
- Approve and add to the waitlist: add the client to your client list and let them book independently; the request joins your waitlist workflow.
- Decline: send an optional message with your decision.
You’ll receive an in-app update and a notification according to your notification settings. The request gives you a chance to respond without promising a time before you have checked your calendar.
Keep your booking rules
This flow is useful if you want existing clients to book online themselves, while new clients first introduce themselves through a request. It gives first-time visitors a clear route to your salon and leaves the appointment decision with you.
Turn on new-client requests
- Open Settings → Appointment Setting.
- Turn on Allow only existing clients to book independently.
- Turn on Accept new-client requests.
The request option is available to businesses where the feature has been enabled. If you don’t see it, contact PetIt support to check availability for your salon.
